Judicious Jupiter ~ 8 Jan 2017

Is Jupiter truly judicious? Is that a Jupiterian fact? Well, Jupiter believes he’s judicious and his declarations and rulings stem from his perspectives and given he is the lord of the gods, what he says and what he defines as justice stands. So, if you’re in Jupiter’s good graces, that’s a very good way to start out the new year.

Jupiter in Libra stations early next month, and for all intents and purposes, he’s hanging out within a degree or two presently, and he now stands opposite Eris, Uranus and Ceres. Given the symbolism of the Libran scales in weighing matters that require deliberation and directly refer to legal and legislative rulings, it would seem that fair and balanced consideration would be applied to all things and persons that Jupiter favors; optimistically, each of us and all things that impact us in the real world.

From the mythology we know that when Jupiter did not favor the elected ruler of Mycenae, he enlisted Mercury and Eris to conspire with him to boot the king and replace him with someone whose platform pleased Jupiter. We know that Jupiter gave bad boy Ixion a second chance on Mount Olympus. However, when Ixion blew it, Jupiter cast the culprit into the bowels of hell. We know that Jupiter can arbitrate. He worked out a compromise between Ceres (Demeter) and Pluto (Hades) such that Ceres would not wipe out the world in her fury over her daughter’s abduction. We also know that Jupiter is judicious as to when he should be judicial. When Eris rolled a golden apple upon which she had inscribed “for the fairest” to the feet of Aphrodite, Athena and Hera (Jupiter’s wife), he knew he could not get in that mix. So again, he dispatched Mercury, here to ask the shepherd Paris to judge the outcome. Seems that Jupiter knows when a conflict of interest involving family is in play and is smart enough to step aside.

With little imagination the above scenarios could detail news headlines on planet Earth and/or be part of the teaser for reality TV shows.

Given Jupiter stations opposite three of the four crankiest planets, this seems to be a time to stand in Jupiter’s good graces. With these testy, easy-to-incite planets involved, could there be remedies for the tap dancing on egg shells as now seems to be required by this opposition? An opposition we essentially experience for the next two months.

It should be noted, for those seeking meaningful mitigation, Saturn in Sagittarius presently trines Uranus, Eris and Ceres, while sextiling Jupiter. Hard work, timely executed, by those with a strong philosophical substrate will be rewarded by the cosmic task master.

So how does one secure a place in Jupiter’s good graces?

> Speak only of things you know and understand.

> State only facts.

> Do not forward any email or news story without confirming its veracity.

> Ensure every act in life comes from the position of intentional propitiation and that all thoughts, declarations, and acts stand in full compliance with stated beliefs.

What course of action can cause chilling with Uranus to maintain still waters amidst the turbulence of the times and shifting courses?

> Create a big picture, long range view of all scenarios such that all permutations and consequences can be accurately forecast.

> If you must troll, do so with posts that inspire and uplift. Take the high road.

> Initiate at least one long-term, world-changing plan. Do something for the greater good and to secure a positive fate of planet Earth. Clicking on cyber-petitions is good, but not enough.

> Work to stand with both feet firmly planted on the ground when engaging in debate or delivering significant declarations.

> Keep your jaw loose, your ears open, and breathe.

> Take on physical points of view you do not normally see. For instance, how does your cat view your trophy case? Take a picture from a bird’s eye point of view.

What can one do to working with Eris to oil her cranky gears?

> Make subtle changes to the direction of habituated life activity. Drink your juice before eating oatmeal. Take a different course to work.

> Perceive yourself as the ultimate insider in your life.

> Honor all your Creator-given gifts. Commit to utilizing each of those gifts.

> Take in all points of view and when confronted by a diametrically opposing view keep in mind the other view is believed by many. Find out how their thought sequence can come to that conclusion.

> Set your own standards for relationship rules and economic achievement.

> Extricate yourself from any and all clubs and social media platforms that do not contribute to your highest aspirations.

What advocacy can one engage to satisfy the call to activism Ceres demands?

> Notice three real world situations that cause you annoyance or grief.

> Choose one of those situations as your primary focus.

> Declare three things you will do to ensure a positive resolution to the undesirable situation.

With all of the above, let us hope that everyone can be positively self-referential, fair in all interactions, clear on the concept that we all inhabit the world together, and aware that every human has a responsibility to inch the planet forward in progressive and evolving ways.

Here’s to the personal karmic return of being a global and galactic participant to exceed any and all expectations of good.
